However, I am also well aware that the book wasn't written for the magic community in the first place and was aimed at a far wider target market. I do own the Fooling Houdini book and am well aware that it has received "blistering reviews" from the magic community. Unless you have read it you cannot possibly be in a position to offer an opinion on it. Furthermore it has been published by a legitimate publisher and is on sale in public bookshops. It is well written and I believe his co-author (I think his wife) is a professional writer. It is very authoritative and has received rave reviews on Amazon from police officers and investigators. I have read it and he DOES know what he is speaking and writing about. I would not discount it quite so readily. However, you seem to be implying that the Munton book does not have the same authority. I haven't seen Paul's book but I am sure it is excellent and I certainly agree with you about his qualifications. Paul actually has a proven depth of knowledge on the subject matter - and knows what he's speaking and writing about.
